and it's great to see you here!

I'm a Zimbabwean multi-instrumentalist musician, African instrument builder, and cultural educator.

I have a BA in Anthropology from Reed College in Portland (OR). After graduation, I worked as the Traditional African Music & Dances instructor and Humanities teacher at the USAP Community School, an institution in Zimbabwe that provides quality education to Zimbabwean students from all over the country.

Through this role, I started organizing community events around music and culture. My passion is to create opportunities for young people from different Zimbabwean cultures to learn from each other and learn about themselves.

So I started Rayiro Culture Hub, where my role is to organize events, workshops and research projects. The goal is to conserving Zimbabwe's music traditions, dances, and storytelling practices for the next generation.

This looks curating free community concerts, bringing rural-based artists to teach students in the city, cultural panel discussions, or research trips in different parts of Zimbabwe among other activities.

I'm currently studying for my year-long MA in Cultural Heritage Management at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
