We work to bridge three main gaps in Zimbabwe's cultural spaces:

  1. Access: Zimbabwe's cultural heritage is not always accessible within the country, especially to young people,

  2. Innovation: The problem-solving potential of Zimbabwe's cultural heritage is undervalued, and

  3. Creativity: Zimbabwe's cultural heritage is often narrowly defined or misunderstood, leaving little room for innovation.

Why Is Rayiro Culture Hub Important?

We want to create a Zimbabwe where our indigenous cultural heritage can serve to unite our communities.

We believe that all Zimbabweans should be proud of their roots while learning from each others' roots too.

All our projects promote knowledge and respect for all our stories and experiences.

This is why we believe in creating access to cultural knowledge, driving innovation, and inspiring creativity to transform people's lives.

We use Story, Song, & Dance to create valuable interactions within or between communities.

We collaborate with artists, students, educators, cultural institutions and other partners to deepen the public's knowledge about Zimbabwe's cultures.

We strive to balance the authenticity of our traditions with exploring innovative ways to share cultural heritage in classrooms through leadership/community programs, and cross-cultural exchanges.
